Unity Health Kid Zone

Children’s activities are taking place in the Unity Health Kid Zone at Spring Park from 10:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, September 30. There are performances scheduled in and around the Spring Park Pavilion. Children can enjoy face painting, lawn games, pony rides, petting zoo inflatable jumpers, carnival games and more. Spring Park carnival games only cost 25 cents each, pony rides cost $5. Entrance into the petting zoo, inflatable jumpers and other activities are free, thanks to our Kid Zone sponsor, Unity Health.

Firefighter Combat Challenge

Watch the Firefighter Combat Challenge at Arch Street/ Art Alley block on Friday night at 6 pm. Fourth-grade students from Southwest Middle School, Riverview Elementary, White County Central, and Harding Academy have participated in preliminary competitions and will go head-to-head in finals at Get Down Downtown. The top 5 boys and girls have been invited to represent their schools by participating in the finals, which will be held at this year’s festival. The competition consists of firefighter job-related tasks that are arranged in an obstacle course, and contestants will compete for the fastest average time. The school with the fastest average will receive a traveling trophy and school bragging rights! Winners will be announced on the First Security Bank Stage.

Brian Kinder is a singer/songwriter who, along with his wife Ms. Terri, performs rollicking goodtime concerts for kids. Their music is fun and invites audience participation from kids and adults alike.
